Continue developing your beginner Italian fluency and confidence with our Beginner Italian: A2.2 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Italian: A2.1 Course course or have approximately 120 hours of prior study. This course helps you build stronger communication skills for everyday situations while expanding your understanding of Italian grammar and vocabulary. It is ideal for learners interested in learning Italian for cultural interest or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.

You will practise communication in situations such as describing people, making comparisons, asking for and offering advice, arranging meetings, and booking events. Grammar is introduced naturally in context, including pronoun combinations, conditional forms, and comparative structures. Vocabulary and pronunciation are integrated throughout, covering personal descriptions, social interaction, and everyday expressions.

Communication

  • Describing and discussing physical, character, and psychological traits
  • Making comparisons among people
  • Politely asking for something; expressing a wish and making assumptions
  • Offering suggestions and advice; accepting or rejecting a proposition
  • Making an appointment; booking by phone for a cultural event

Grammar

  • Negation: double negative (né… né)
  • Verb forms: pronominal verbs (farcela, andarsene); stare + gerund
  • Comparison: quanto / come
  • Mood: present conditional
  • Pronouns: direct object pronouns + avere; agreement of past participle with direct object pronouns
  • Pronoun structures: indirect and direct pronouns + infinitive
  • Relative pronouns: che, cui

Vocabulary

  • Physical and personality description
  • Expressions: né… né; tranne
  • Expressions: già / non… ancora
  • Pronouns: qualcuno / nessuno
  • Places: a teatro, al cinema, al museo
