'Cosa sai dell'Italia?' - Italian Advanced Revision (B1)

Learn more about Italy and its people. The course is aimed at students of Italian who wish to broaden their knowledge of Italy, its geography, its customs and traditions. The lessons propose thematic paths that offer opportunities to learn about aspects of Italian culture, history and society. Each module offers informative texts and exercises for reading comprehension (with audio readings of the written texts), vocabulary development and oral production based on intercultural reflection. It is ideal for conversation or general recap and/or revision courses. Advanced Revision B1 level, 280 plus hours of prior learning assumed, or completed up to Units 7 & 8 "Nuovo Espresso" Book 3. No textbook required.

  • Italian language in context and in various situations: family, relationships, work, religion, food, and culture in general.
  • Related grammar balanced with communicative elements and comprehension exercises.
  • Use of modern language and systematic work on the 4 language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
  • Methodical review of phrasal structures and vocabulary.


By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Use intermediate/advanced conversation skills in social settings.
  2. Increase skills, vocabulary and study methods required for continued learning.
  3. Develop reading and listening skills through the texts and full audio recordings of the stories, and discover the culture and history behind each story through the informative dossiers.
