Examine the history of law, and the thinkers and events that have shaped our legal heritage in the West, particularly the common law tradition. We study philosophers from Ancient Greece and developments in Rome; the medieval world, the Magna Carta, and the English revolution; and the American, French and industrial revolutions to arrive at an undrestanding of the law that governs us in the 21st century.
