George Lambert & Family - From Society & War Artist to Rock Star Manager of The Who

Australian Artist George Lambert (1873 – 1930) was born in St Petersburg, grew up in rural NSW and became one of our prominent Society Portrait painters and war artists at Gallipoli, and he was just the start of a lineage of immense creative flair. We can hear the music of his son Constant Lambert (1905 – 1951), an English composer, an important figure in the Royal Ballet in London and close companion of Margot Fonteyn. George’s grandson, Kit Lambert (1935 – 1981) was a record label owner and producer and manager of the Rock band "The Who'. We look at their legacy.
