German History: From Pre-History to the Carolingian Empire

This is the first part of a multi-term comprehensive course program on German history. Designed as stand-alone modules that do not require any previous knowledge, these sessions are meant to provide individual detailed insights into interesting events and periods of German history, while at the same time enabling interested students to gain a comprehensive overview of German history from the Neanderthals to the end of Angela Merkel's Chancellorship in 2021.

They are not required readings to be able to follow the course, but mere suggestions for those students wishing to dive into even more detail.
