This course is a continuation from the German Advanced Revision B2 courses and is for any student wishing to learn the language for business, travel or everyday use with approximately 450+ hours of German required. Students will develop skills to use in conversation, reading, listening and writing. This course aims to build general comprehension and communication skills in advanced German and a review of cultural practices, with a focus on clear explanation of higher level language principles.


TEXTBOOK

  • Sicher B2, Deutsch als Fremdsprache, Kursbuch, Hueber Verlag and Tutor supplied material including magazine articles and news clips.


PLANNED LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Can understand the main points of clear standard input on matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, friends and family etc.
  2. Can deal with more complex situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
  3. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
  4. Can express own opinions in a discussion.
  5. Can use complex sentence structures.

LANGUAGE CLASS TRANSFER POLICY
If you are a new WEA Student and enrol into a language class and subsequently find that you are at the wrong level (whether too high or too low), you are permitted to transfer into another more suitable class at no additional cost, provided that the request is made within the first two classes and is in writing from your tutor directly to the Education Manager. After that point, an administration fee of $30 will apply.
