Start your intermediate French learning journey with our Intermediate French: B1.1 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner French: A2 Conclusion or have approximately 240 hours of prior study. This course helps you expand your ability to communicate more confidently in French while strengthening your understanding of key grammar and vocabulary needed for everyday conversation. It is ideal for learners interested in learning French for cultural interest or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.

You will practise communication in situations such as describing people and their personalities, reporting what someone has said, expressing agreement and disagreement, discussing relationships, and persuading others in conversation. Grammar is taught in context and includes structures for describing people with relative clauses, indirect speech in the present, demonstrative pronouns, and further practice with expressions for ongoing, recent, and near-future actions. Vocabulary development focuses on language used to describe people and social relationships, express opinions and feelings, and discuss study and travel experiences, helping you participate more confidently in everyday conversations in French.
