Available Classes

Develop your basic French speaking and writing skills as you learn about the beautiful culture and history of Provence. You will learn to speak with greater confidence and communicate effectively with French speakers in everyday situations. You will also learn to read and write basic French. By learning about the fascinating culture of the Provence region you will be learning French in an authentic context. This course will be fun, informative and useful to Elementary and Intermediate students.

COURSE OUTLINE

  • Talking about travel experience, about future plans. Talking about prices. Eating out, booking a room. Expressing emotions, obligation, possibilities. Debating on environmental issues
  • Past tenses, future and conditional, near future, partitive articles, direct object pronouns, time words and phrases
  • History of Provence, Culture and traditions, Provence today, how to get there, places to visit, Gastronomy, Environmental issues, Places to visit, Where to go from Provence, Access to other main cities in France.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Develop vocabulary skills in French to communicate in various situations while exploring the fascinating culture of Provence
  2. Develop literacy skills to both read and write in French

LANGUAGE CLASS TRANSFER POLICY

If you are a new WEA Student and enrol into a language class and subsequently find that you are at the wrong level (whether too high or too low), you are permitted to transfer into another more suitable class at no additional cost, provided that the request is made within the first two classes and is in writing from your tutor directly to the Education Manager. After that point, an administration fee of $30 will apply.
