This is an intermediate course for any student wishing to develop their language skills for business, travel or everyday use. Students will develop skills to use in conversation, reading, listening and writing.


TEXTBOOK
New Practical Chinese Readers Book 3, covering Lesson 35 and Lesson 36.


COURSE OUTLINE

  • Talking about the climate
  • Making a suggestion
  • Indicating a possibility
  • At a restaurant
  • Expressing a surprise
  • The extended usage of " xiaqu"
  • Interrogative pronouns indicating arbitrary reference
  • Making comparison by using the preposition " bi "
  • The construction of " yue... yue..."


PLANNED LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this course, students will have:

  1. Knowledge of restaurant culture
  2. Going dutch and standing treat
  3. Sing a Chinese song " A place far a way"

LANGUAGE CLASS TRANSFER POLICY
If you are a new WEA Student and enrol into a language class and subsequently find that you are at the wrong level (whether too high or too low), you are permitted to transfer into another more suitable class at no additional cost, provided that the request is made within the first two classes and is in writing from your tutor directly to the Education Manager. After that point, an administration fee of $30 will apply.
