COURSE OUTLINE

  • Building up strength from a relaxed state
  • Working in proper alignment with own body weight to correct inbalances gradually aiming for a strong and movable body.
  • Using Pilates principles of breath and movement.

We will start the session with a short relaxation technique and progress to basic strength and core exercises – everybody welcome regardless of age and experience!


COURSE OUTCOME
General sense of awareness of the body helps with posture, from correct alignment some spinal conditions can be improved or at least kept from degenerating faster. Use of breath to focus and move helps to change the mood and decrease tension in the brain. A by-product of any exercise program is usually a lift in spirits and feeling of well being – so we aim to enjoy the session and emerge feeling better!


EQUIPMENT

  • Mats, straps and foam blocks are provided.
  • You may wish to bring extra padding such as a spongy mat or towel if you have injuries such as knee pain or arthritis of spine.
