PLANNED LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Identify the different styles, themes and concerns of Australian poetry.
  2. Read poems independently and be able to interpret the poetic techniques used.
  3. Discuss and evaluate the quality, topicality, mood and effectiveness of a variety of poems from a variety of poets.
