Ancient Greek Advanced 3

The Ancient Greek language covers a wide time-span – this course studies Koine Greek through a reading of the New Testament’s Book of Revelation. Along the way we will consider some of the controversies surrounding the text, its authorship and linguistic usage. Prerequisite: knowledge of the Ancient Greek language to an intermediate standard.

COURSE OUTLINE

  • Linguistic reading of the speeches
  • Integrated discussion of authorship and controversies.

PLANNED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Read and understand the language of the New Testament.
  2. Discuss controversies surrounding this book of the Bible.

LANGUAGE CLASS TRANSFER POLICY

If you are a new WEA Student and enrol into a language class and subsequently find that you are at the wrong level (whether too high or too low), you are permitted to transfer into another more suitable class at no additional cost, provided that the request is made within the first two classes and is in writing from your tutor directly to the Education Manager. After that point, an administration fee of $30 will apply.
