This course is for students who have completed studies of the Ancient Greek language to a high intermediate standard or who wish to brush up on previous advanced studies of the language. We will complete a detailed reading of Sophocles' play Antigone, focusing on the play's language and use of myth alongside cultural and social aspects of ancient Greek tragedy. The entire play will be studied.
