An Introduction to the Qur'an

For all practising Muslims, the Qur'an is the final revelation of the will of God, but it is variantly quoted and interpreted. Sometimes its message is obscured or countered by local traditions and cultural customs. This one-day course is an introduction to the Qur'an, using three different translations from the Arabic, and their accompanying notes, to let the book speak for itself on significant issues of belief and conduct, including the role of women, jihad and the promises of heaven and hell.

This class will be delivered face-to-face at WEA Sydney. Enrolling students need to ensure they have read the current COVID-19 Safety Guidance that WEA Sydney has put in place before enrolling.
