Most of us experience tension and worry but chronic anxiety can interfere with our capacity to function in our everyday life. Although anxiety disorders are the most common of all mental disorders, few people seek help and treatment. Anxiety can begin early in life and if untreated can lead to depression and substance abuse in later life. However the symptoms of anxiety can be effectively treated and self-confidence and assurance restored with non-drug treatments. In this course we will explore the symptoms and causes of fears and anxiety and learn some techniques to face and overcome your fears so you can look forward to a brighter future.
