Those currently in the industry may already hold much of the underpinning knowledge and skills required to demonstrate competency. Thankfully you may not need to complete the full certificate again if you already hold a Certificate IV in TAA40104 or TAE40110. Our upgrade units are all completed online. Questions can be directed to your assessor through the Online Learning Portal. This qualification reflects the roles of individuals delivering training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. The TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the minimum qualification required to work as a trainer/assessor in a structured training environment such as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or TAFE. It is also relevant for those wishing to deliver one-on-one mentoring to staff, coaching students or training of apprentices or trainees. Successful participants will also be qualified to conduct workplace assessments and skills audits.
Without assessing the qualifications you hold and current experience it is difficult to know how much Credit Transfer or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) you may require to upgrade to the new Certificate. We can put together a competitive package to upgrade your skills.
- Full Credit Transfer (10 units) - $200
- Additional Units Required - $150 per unit
If you require an invoice addressed to a third party (perhaps your employer's business) for your upgrade, please email us instead at info@weasydney.nsw.edu.au
Please ensure that you have read the WEA Sydney Student Handbook before applying. All students have 90 days to submit the required documentation on application or WEA Sydney reserves the right to withdraw their application.
- A nationally recognised qualification in Training and Assessment
- Skills and knowledge required to train and assess individuals and groups
The length of this course will depend upon how many units of competency are required taking into account Credit Transfer from your past verified and certified Certificate.
