Using Origami techniques, try several different ways of gift wrapping with paper. Learn how to measure paper size for wrapping objects. Make a gift box from paper and learn several ribbon bow techniques.

Material cost $10 per student _available from tutor on the day. Please ensure that you bring to class the items in the Materials List.

Note: There will be a short break for afternoon tea.

COURSE OUTLINE

• Basic wrapping skills (How to measure minimum paper size, how to deal with double sided tape and paper).
• Basic ribbon techniques (a few different shaped bow techniques).
• Box making using Origami technique.
• Wrapping arrangement with paper bags.

PLANNED LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this course, students should be able to:

1. Use Japanese Paper Gift Wrapping techniques to make beautiful presents.

MATERIALS LIST
Students need to bring on the day:

• Scissors
• Cutter knife
• 2 or 3 Books (Size: 20cm x 15cm x 3cm – no need to be exactly this size) - these are objects for wrapping.
