Enjoy a retrospective of the three greatest Rock pianists from the origins of the genre. Fats Domino brought Blues and New Orleans Creole culture to early rock; Little Richard introduced the driving rhythms and falsetto yells copied by the Beatles and others; and The Killer, Jerry Lee Lewis, was the first “Wild Man of Rock and Roll”.

COURSE OUTLINE
- Fats Domino. Early Rock from Blues and R and B roots. The influence of New Orleans. The career of Fats Domino and living in the 9th Ward.
- Little Richard. Gospel and Blues roots. The piano as an innovator in stage shows. The cover versions controversy. His changes to gospel and lifestyles and his re-emergence. His influence on the British bands.
- Jerry Lee Lewis. Sun Records beginnings. The Wild Man images. His development as a rock star and the use of the piano and an instrument and a prop.
