This class is about composition. Improve the design of your photographs by being more aware of the various elements that are involved in constructing a picture. Sensitize yourself to the aesthetic tools for greater personal expression and greater visual impact in your photography. Analyse the work of the fine art masters of photography in practical class composition exercises and in a photographic assignment set to be completed for class discussion/critique.

This class will be delivered face-to-face at WEA Sydney. Enrolling students need to ensure they have read the current COVID-19 Safety Guidance that WEA Sydney has put in place before enrolling.

COURSE OUTLINE

• Design structures, design elements, design principles, rule of thirds.
• Analyse the work of the fine art masters of photography in practical class composition exercises. Photographic composition assignment set.
